Privacy Policy

Truth or Dare: Escalating has no accounts, no sign-in, and no server that stores anything about you. The names you type in, the scores, and how far the game escalated exist only in your phone's memory while you play, and are gone the moment you close the app.

We don't run analytics. We don't use advertising or tracking of any kind. Nobody is measuring which dares you skip.

There is exactly one thing that reaches the internet, and it's the app checking whether a bug fix is available. That's explained below.

Truth or Dare: Escalating is built and owned by Kin Leon Zinzombe, who is responsible for this policy and for how the app handles data.

The app is published to the Apple App Store and Google Play through the developer account of Wyven Technologies Private Limited, so that name may appear as the seller or developer on the store listing. Wyven is the publisher of record only — it does not receive, store, or process any data from the app, and it has no access to anything on your device.

Four settings are written to your device's own secure storage so the app remembers them between sessions:

• Whether you've been through the intro screens
• Whether adult content (tiers 4 and 5) is switched on
• Whether you've confirmed you're 18 or older
• Whether haptic feedback is switched on

That is the complete list. All four are simple yes/no values, they never leave the device, and "Reset all data" in Settings clears them.

Everything else the game uses — player names, each player's truths, dares and skips, the round number, the tier you reached — is held in memory only. It is never written to disk and never transmitted. Close the app and it is genuinely gone. This is a deliberate design decision: a party game does not need to remember who was at the party.

One thing, and it carries no identity because the app never creates one.

Over-the-air updates

The app can download bug fixes without waiting for a full store release. To check whether an update applies, it sends its own version number and platform (iOS or Android) to Expo's update servers. That request contains no identifier for you or your device, and as with any internet request your IP address is visible to the server handling it. Nothing about your game is included.

What does not leave your device

The prompts are bundled inside the app, not fetched — the game works with no internet connection at all. There is no analytics service, no crash reporting service, no advertising SDK, and no social login.

The results screen can turn your final scores into an image. That image is created on your device and handed to your phone's own share sheet — the same one you get from the Photos app. We never see it, and it is not uploaded anywhere.

Where it goes next is up to you and whichever app you pick from that sheet. Once you send it to a messaging app or a social network, their privacy policy applies to it, not ours.

Tiers 4 and 5 contain sexual references and adult themes, and are switched off by default. Turning them on requires confirming you are 18 or older. That confirmation is stored as a single yes/no value on your device, as listed above.

The app is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect anything from anyone of any age — because we do not collect anything from anyone.

The app is free and contains no in-app purchases and no subscriptions, so no payment information is collected or processed at all. If that ever changes, purchases will be handled entirely by Apple or Google, who would not share your payment details with us.

Data protection law gives you rights to access, correct, export and delete personal data held about you. In this case there is nothing to exercise those rights against: we hold no personal data about you on any server, because there is no server.

Everything the app stores is already in your possession. You can delete all of it at any time from Settings → Reset all data, or by uninstalling the app.

If the app ever starts collecting something, this page will be updated before that version ships, and the effective date at the top will change. Given the app has no way to contact you, checking this page is the only notice we can offer.
